Sara Al Balushi

GIS Specialist & Data Analyst

Sara Al Balushi holds a degree in Natural Resources from the University of Adelaide, South Australia, and has 5 years of experience in marine conservation applying GIS and remote sensing. She has worked on habitat mapping with Sentinel-2 and drone imagery, large-scale marine baseline studies, cetacean surveys, and 3D photogrammetry for coral monitoring across Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman, and Qatar, including species management work at SHAMS. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree at KAUST, focusing on GIS applications in marine mammal ecology.
