Nuwat offers students and recent graduates from diverse academic backgrounds the opportunity to gain hands-on experience through its internship program.

What we offer:

Interns at Nuwat are provided with experiential learning opportunities in the environmental sector giving them a meaningful internship experience that will support their academic, professional and personal growth.

The duration of an internship is normally between six and twelve weeks. Internships can be on a full-time and part-time basis.

Internship opportunities are usually offered during the summer months (June-September) of each year, however, if opportunities arise, interns can be taken on board throughout the year.

  • Interns must be at least 18 years old.
  • Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate programme or have graduated within the past two years.

Candidates must send their CV and a cover letter stating why they would like to intern with us and what they are hoping to get out of the experience to [email protected]

Reflections of our Interns’ Experiences

During my time at Nuwat, I gained invaluable insights into field expeditions and immersing myself in the real world challenges and excitement of marine research. My time as an intern allowed me to sharpen my research and technical skills, and most importantly, I cherished the opportunity to accumulate first-hand scientific experience, solidifying my passion for marine research.
