Dr. Layla J. Hazeem

Assistant Professor of Marine Biology

Dr. Layla J. Hazeem is an Assistant Professor of Marine Biology at the College of Science, University of Bahrain, Kingdom of Bahrain. She received her Master’s degree in Oceanography and PhD in Marine Biology from the University of Southampton, United Kingdom. Hazeem’s research focuses on evaluating the effect of environmental pollutants on marine microalgae. She is the author of several peer-reviewed articles and the principal investigator of ecotoxicology projects, working with national, regional, and international collaborators.
