Wrapping Up our Field Diving Research for the Year

Bahrain
As we wrap up our field diving research for the year this November, we can’t help but reflect on the incredible journey we’ve had.
From surveying Bahrain’s oyster beds and vibrant coral reefs to conducting cutting-edge physiological experiments on thermal tolerance, every moment spent underwater has been an adventure. This year was made even more special by hosting our collaborators from UAE University, working together to collect DNA samples from selected fish species for our collaborative population genomics project.
We also had the pleasure of collaborating with our US collaborator on groundbreaking physiological thermal tolerance experiments on Bahrain’s iconic pearl oysters. It’s been a year of growth, discovery, and meaningful partnerships, and we look forward to many more dives and innovations in the future!
