What an incredible event to be part of! Dr. Reem AlMealla, Nuwat’s founder, was honoured to be invited as a judge at STEM X Bahrain—an inspiring platform that showcased the next generation of innovators in Bahrain.

The talent pool of young people coming through with clever, innovative, and outside-the-box ideas was truly remarkable. From initiatives linked to national food banks and the applications of quantum mechanics to the use of open-source medical imaging and algorithm design to analyze lung cancer, the level of creativity and problem-solving displayed by the students was nothing short of impressive.

Dr. Reem highlighted the importance of creating structured pathways where industry can actively mentor and support young talent—whether through internships, accelerator programs, or direct collaborations.

A big thank you to STEM Best Practice for the opportunity to join the judging panel alongside Daniel O’Hara (Director of Science Lab and Creative Space Design at Kidzink) and Bibin Boby (Director of Kitspire Education and Training llc) plus engaging with the talented group of participants. It was inspiring to see the passion and dedication that went into these projects, reinforcing the need to continue investing in Bahrain’s future innovators.

The event was planned and organized by Al Hekma International School in collaboration with STEM Best Practice and Kitspire, plus supported by Kidzink and Koda Educational Architecture. It was hosted at Al Hekma International School and brought together students from schools across Bahrain to showcase their innovative ideas. STEM X Bahrain was a celebration of creativity, problem-solving, and the limitless potential of Bahrain’s youth. We applaud Al Hekma International School for its commitment to nurturing creativity and critical thinking, providing students with the platform and support they need to turn innovative ideas into reality

At Nuwat, we are proud to support initiatives that empower young minds to lead the way in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Events like STEM X Bahrain serve as a powerful reminder that the future of innovation is bright—and it starts with nurturing the talent and curiosity of today’s youth.
