We presented our research on the coral reefs under the title “Bahrain and the advancement witnessed in the field of coral reef ecology” at New York University Abu Dhabi. The workshop focused on the Status and trends of Arabian Gulf Coral Reefs: Data integration and analyses.

This workshop comes as part of the preparations that world coral reef scientists are working on to contribute towards the development of the Global Coral Reef Monitoring Network Report which is due to present the status of world reefs in 2025 to which Nuwat will be a contributor. We are constantly looking for funding to enable us to conduct our monitoring surveys, every contribution helps!

Governments and reef managers will highly benefit from this data especially in terms of ecosystem management.
